A TRENDY DOWNTOWN RESTAURANT – “FETE”

スポンサーリンク

I recently went to “FETE”, a trendy restaurant in Downtown Honolulu serving new American cuisine.

We had dinner reservations but when we arrived, I was worried because the restaurant was full of customers and filled with energy. We were surprised when they took us upstairs to a nice quiet room they called “The Library”.

Since I don’t drink alcohol, I ordered a Ginger Beer by Maui Brewing Company.
It was a very refreshing drink and the server explained that they support local farmers and companies.

We started off with their popular “Fete Spread”. Homemade toasted bread with three homemade dips, Walnut Tapenade, Ricotta with local honey and Artichoke.

For the main entrees we chose the “Twice Fried Ludovico Chicken” which comes with spicy tomato jam, grits and collard greens.

I think this was the first time I ate collard greens.  I thought it was delicious and reminded me of luau leaves that I eat in lau lau.

We also ordered the “Linguettine Carbonara”.  The portions are generous so we shared our main entrees.

Everything tasted delicious!  We were happy to be seated in “The Library” where it was more quiet and relaxing compared to the busy downstairs but I know some people like that kind of energy also.

The service did take a little time, so I recommend you go when you are not in a hurry and want to just enjoy great food and relax.
