今回は”Now in Hawaii Part 2”(ハワイの今 第2弾)というお題目でお届けします。
Since COVID a lot has changed at Aulani, A Disney Resort.
コロナ以来、アウラニディズニーリゾートでは多くの変化がありました。
There are still greeters as you drive up to the lobby but no leis are given. The bell desk is only outside.
ロビーまで行くとお出迎えをしてくれるスタッフはいますがレイのサービスはなくなってました。ベルデスクは外側にだけあります。
& the water station is closed.
水飲み場は閉まってました。
There is a sign to the entrance for the front desk & signs on the floor marks the distance that needs to be observed.
フロントの入り口には看板があり、床にはソーシャルディスタンスをうながす案内が張られています。
Due to the 6 feet distance requirement there are less stations so the bell desk was changed to a check-in station.
6フィート(約2m)の間隔をとるためチェックインステーションが減らされ、その代わりにベルデスクがチェックインステーションに替わってました。
All counters has a plexiglass in front of it & each station has a mic with a speaker placed to the bottom of the glass
全てのカウンターには透明なパテーションが置かれ、その下にはマイクとスピーカーがあります。
which is very helpful because when the lobby gets crowded it is very noisy.
これがロビーが混雑してうるさい時にけっこう役立ちました。
Because of less stations it does take longer to check in but I was lucky & went into line when it was short but within 20 minutes it was very long, especially since each family must keep a 6 feet distance.
カウンターが減らされたためチェックインに時間が掛かりますが、運よく列が短い時に並べましたが、特に各家族で6フィートの距離を保つ必要があるので、20分で長い行列になってしまいました。
Here is a person at the beginning of the line to assist to help so when you do go to the counter it is faster. The concierge desks are also protected.
ここは列の先頭にいる人を助けてくれるところで、カウンターへ行くとチェックインの手続きが早く済みます。コンシェルジュもプロテクトされてます。
Caution signs are placed throughout the resort.
注意の看板がリゾートのいたるところに置かれています。
Sanitizers are also found multiple places & only 4 people or 1 family is allowed in the elevator at a time.
サニタイザーもいろんな場所に設置され、エレベーターは1度に4人まで、もしくはひと家族のみ乗ることができます。
For faster information about character appearances, store & restaurant hours & other activities during your stay, there is an Aulani app to download onto your phone & there are also many video boards throughout the resort.
滞在中のキャラクターの出現場所や時間、お店とレストランの営業時間、その他のアクティビティに関する情報を素早く入手するには、携帯電話にダウンロードできるアウラニアプリがあります。またリゾート全体に多くのビデオボードがあります。
No slippers or robes are in the rooms & the remote control for the television is wrapped in a plastic bag.
お部屋にスリッパやローブはなくなっており、テレビのリモコンはビニール袋に入れられてました。
The sign for the door only says “IN USE”. Housekeeping needs to know if a room is occupied because they must collect the rubbish everyday & all of the above is due to covid.
ドアのサインには”使用中”と書いてます。これはコロナの感染対策で、ハウスキーパーが毎日ごみを回収する際、部屋の中に誰かいるかを知るためです。
AMA AMA restaurant has been closed since the quarantine
アマアマレストランは感染予防対策で営業休止ですが
but Ulu Café, the poolside bar (OFF THE HOOK BAR & LOUNGE) is open until dinner ends & snacks shops at the pool are open only during the day.
ウルカフェ、プールサイドバー（オフザフックバー＆ラウンジ）は夕食時までオープン、プールにあるスナックショップは日中オープンしてます。
Aulani is trying new dinner specials for the pool bar & on our last night we had the “Paniolo Ribs” that was huge & very delicious .
アウラニではプールサイドで新しいディナースペシャルをやっており、私たちも最後の晩に”パニオロリブ”を試してみましたが、とても大きくておいしかったです。
Dinner is also served at the Makahiki restaurant but it is not a buffet, only table service. The character breakfast started up again on May 7, 2021. Again no buffet but only table service.
ディナーはマカヒキでも提供してますがブッフェではなくテーブルサービスのみとなります。キャラクターブレックファーストも2021年5月7日から再開されてますがブッフェではなくテーブルサービスのみとなります。

は休業中でした。
There is still music entertainment at night & the band members are also separated by a glass.
夜のバンドのエンターテイメントはありましたが、バンドメンバーは全てパテーションでわけられてました。
Pool bands & towel stations are covered with plexiglass
プールバンドとタオルステーションも透明のパテーションで仕切られてます。
& the lounge chairs are in smaller groups that are kept together by zip ties
ラウンジチェアは小さなグループに分けられ、プラスチックの結束バンドでくくられてるので
so no chairs can be moved.
イスを動かすことができません。
Guests are not allowed to leave any items on the chairs unattended before 8:00am or else it will be automatically taken away & must claim it at the lost & found department. We actually did see them doing that.
朝8時前から荷物を置いてイスを確保することは禁止されており、その場合その荷物は遺失物を取り扱ってるところへ持っていかれてしまいます。実際、そうなってしまった人を見たことがあります。
Everyone on the lazy river is required to be in a tube.
流れるプールでは、浮き輪は絶対必要ですよね。
Free boogie boards are still available to resort guests but not the sand toys, again due to covid.
無料のブギーボードはリゾートゲスト用にありますが、お砂場道具はコロナ感染防止のためありません。
Hotel does still take sunset pictures for the guests. Just inquire at the desk what time the photographers will be at the beach. We actually had a friend over to take it for us.
サンセットでの記念撮影はまだ行われていました。このサービスはデスクで、カメラマンが何時頃ビーチにいるかを確認すれば誰でも撮ってもらえます。実際私たちも友達と一緒に撮ってもらいました。
There were no staffs taking candid shots throughout the hotel or in the pool.
ホテルの施設内ではそういった写真を撮ってくれる人はいません。
Pin trading is only done once a day for just one hour & there is a procedure for that too.
ピンの交換は一日一回1時間だけできて、そのための手続きも必要です。
At the time of our stay the hotel was full at the allowed 60% capacity.
私たちが宿泊した時には満室でしたが、実際に使われていた客室数は全体の60％だったようです。
They were sold out but it was not too overly crowded so it was really nice.
満室だったものの施設内が混み過ぎてなくてとても良かったです。
There were a lot of tourists but there were more local residents who were finally enjoying a staycation.
たくさんのツーリストがいましたがほとんどがハワイの在住者だったようで、近郊でのバケーションを楽しんでたようです。
All staffs wore masks & gloves.
スタッフ全員マスクと手袋を着用してました。
Always a cleaning staff on our floor & I always saw someone near wherever we were on the property. Even with all the restrictions we still had a great time.
いつも私たちのフロアーには清掃係員がいて、また施設内のどこへ行っても近くに誰かがいるのを見ました。そんな制限がある中でも、とても素晴らしい時間を過ごすことができました。
