Hawaii is excited to welcome back our friends from Japan.

As you many of you have heard, Japan is being added to Hawaii’s Safe Travels pre-travel testing program. This means that travelers from Japan who take a COVID-19 test at one of the Trusted Traveler Partners in Japan and have proof of a negative test result within 72 hours of arriving in Hawaii, will be allowed to bypass the 14-day quarantine.
(多くの方がご存知の通り、日本はハワイ州の定めるセーフトラベルの旅行前検査プログラムの認可を受けています。これは旅行前に日本の指定医療機関でPCR検査を受け、ハワイに到着してから「72時間以内のPCR検査結果が陰性であること」が証明された場合、14日間の自主隔離が免除されるということです。)
Although we understand that there are still quarantine protocols in place when Japanese citizens return back home, this Hawaii Safe Travels pre-travel testing program is a step in the right direction.
(日本人が帰国したときに日本での自主隔離が現在も実施されていることは存じ上げておりますが、このハワイ州の定めるセーフトラベルの旅行前検査プログラムは正しい方向への第一歩です。)
